Cornbread Hot Dogs Are A Delicious Flip On The Classic Bun
Checking off every box on the crave-worthy chart, cornbread hot dogs has just tossed its hat into the comfort food ring. The innovative creation was shared by Tasha Robinson (@tashaliana) recently and subsequently took Instagram by storm. Glistening with flavor and oozing with appeal, it’s the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Rather than square-shaped cornbread, Chef Robinson molded them into a makeshift hot dog bun. Stuffed into the center is a charred and juicy frank that’s topped with fried cabbage, bacon bits, and drizzled with sweet honey and sprinkled with creole seasoning.
Unfortunately, Chef Robinson came up with the genius idea on the fly and doesn’t have an actual recipe to share. Crafty cooks should have no problem recreating their own version, though. Beyond being a solo treat, cornbread hot dogs will undoubtedly have family, friends, and neighbors singing your high praises.
