Pepsi Introduces ‘DRIPS’: A New Craft Soda Experience With Wild Flavors

Tropicana lemonade over candy boba topped with floating cotton candy is coming to New York, and I’m feeling a bit jealous! PepsiCo is giving foodies in New York a unique opportunity to try something truly different with its new DRIPS by Pepsi truck. From September 12 to September 29, the DRIPS truck will travel through the city, offering eight expertly crafted beverages inspired by PepsiCo’s favorite products.

These refreshing combinations will be:

  • PEPSI FOREVER S’MORES – PEPSI, coconut and lime finished with smores over whipped cream
  • STARRY BERRY BASIL – STARRY, strawberry and basil finished with diced strawberries, lime wheel and basil seeds
  • STARRY DRAGONFRUIT BLAST – STARRY and watermelon garnished with Dragon fruit
  • DEW CHILL DILL – MTN DEW, cucumber and basil garnished with dill pickle spear
  • DEW SPICY SPLASH – MTN DEW, lime, chamoy and Tajin garnished with a gummy worm
  • LIPTON MANGO HORCHATA – Lipton Lemon iced tea with mango, coconut horchata over strawberry boba, finished with cold foam
  • COTTON CANDY LEMONADE – Tropicana Lemonade over candy boba, finished with floating cotton candy
  • ROCKSTAR PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE – Rockstar Focus with orange, pineapple, and grenadine finished with whipped cream and a colorful orange wheel

The DRIPS by Pepsi truck kicked off at Central Park’s Summer Stage on September 12 and will move to Domino Park on the Williamsburg waterfront from September 14 to September 29, operating Saturdays and Sundays from 1 PM to 7 PM. DRIPS by Pepsi beverages start at $6.99. Previously, the truck made stops at Penn State University and Kennywood Park in Pennsylvania.

PATIENTLY WAITING FOR LOS ANGELES TO GET THEIR TURN—especially after that heatwave we just had. It would’ve been clutch to shamelessly double-fist the Cotton Candy Lemonade and STARRY® BERRY BASIL while skipping down the street. These DRIPS beverages feel like mocktails, but with a fun, portable summer vibe.

With this being their second DRIPS truck tour, it makes you wonder—could PepsiCo make this more than just a pop-up? I mean, A&W still has restaurants, so why not PepsiCo trucks? Brands are always diversifying, so maybe it’s only a matter of time before my neighborhood gets a PepsiCo Bar in LA. You’ll see me there on day one!
